And if at First You Don't Succeed....

In 2010, it seemed like every other week I was going on a date. I actually kept count! Now, recently I have been trying to remember where I met all of my dates. I quickly realized it was because I was in school, going to the gym, working three jobs, and going out with friends more often. Basically it was because I KEPT BUSY! Now, I work and hangout with friends, but mostly my family, and I will occasionally find myself wondering into the gym. When I finished school and settled down into my profession, I found it was harder to meet men. I mean, back then I wasn't even trying...I was just always out and about so it was inevitable. And I was committed to having fun and not taking anyone serious...none of those dates ever led to a second date...and that was by choice!

Most of the dates I went on were so much fun, and then there were those dates that I just wanted to run away SCREAMING! But I survived them all and overall enjoyed myself..because that is what dating is about...having FUN with the opposite sex.

PAUSE!....I did stop dating for nearly a year because of a bad experience I had. I knew that it was time for a break. So, I totally understand how a bad experience can prevent you from wanting to try again. It can be tough! Don't let anyone force you into dating if you don't want to...you have to take time to yourself and be ready for it. After that experience, I started to date myself...which meant doing things alone in order to learn more about me. And it was only until then that I was ready to start again...So ladies and gents...if at first you don't succeed dust yourself off and try again...when your ready that is <3  And so I am ready to start again and hope to encourage you to do the same!

UPDATE :)
Now, over the weekend I was at the mall...minding my own business, when a very polite young man said that he remembered me from high school...and withing minutes of the conversation invited me to lunch. He was very polite and so I gave him my number...So ladies and gents...I'll be adding 'The Mall' to my list of places to meet the opposite sex :) I'll keep you posted about the date!

Excuse My English!

I am not the BEST writer...but I do always keep it real ! I wanted to let you all know that I will be writing weekly about my dating experiences throughout 2012! Today, I reached out to many of my guy friends...I wanted to know where they thought women could meet men. I posted this on my facebook page today...

'ATTENTION ALL FRIENDS: MY FRIEND AND I ARE STARTING TO GO ON DOUBLE DATES! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF NICE GUYS WHO ARE LOOKING TO MEET CLASSY, YET SEXY WOMEN! PLEASE INBOX ME IF YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT MAY BE INTERESTED...PLEASE MAKE SURE THESE MEN ARE OF QUALITY! THANK YOU.'
The responses I got varied...some thought I was crazy, and others actually responded! This is great! AND guess what? In less than 24 hours I got two dates! One double and one single date! Looking forward to going out! Ill keep you posted :)
I won't be putting anyones name on here for privacy reasons...but I will be talking about my experience!A friend and I also will be going 'Speed Dating'! I'm looking forward to this too! It will be my first time!
In a few days I will be talking about the lessons I learned from my past experiences with dating and what I plan on taking with me during these two dates!
I hope my experience can encourage you all to get out there and start dating!

Taking Risks

Welcome!!! I decided to start a blog about dating for SEVERAL REASONS!!

1. I recently went through a break up and I wanted to get back into the dating scene. During this relationship, I felt like I was the only one in it...I know you've all been there before!! So it was time for me to venture out and meet new people! But I had one question...Where? Where will I meet a guy who at my age, is on the same page as I am? I mean, I'm young, fun, and educated...this was going to be rough.
2. So many of my friends and family members are single and AFRAID TO DATE. They are either too picky, too scared, or have never been on a date in their entire lives. I've been on many many dates, and had a lot of fun. I've done some things that I would never have been able to do if I was not dating. But this was not enough to convince my friends to start dating. Many of my friends have had terrible experiences dating when they met guys online or at a club...so again brings up the question...Where? Where can a good girl meet a good guy?
3. I wanted to have a place where I can talk about my dating experiences in hopes to come up with a list of places where 'boy meets girl'.

I first started with asking friends where they typically go to meet girls or guys...and the one guy that responded..said the CLUB? ...We will leave that for another day !
